CANDY JAR
Project: Personal
Programs: Blender – Substance painter – Photoshop
For my personal project, I aimed to refine my realism skills in 3D by recreating a jar filled with “Engelse drop” (English liquorice). To start, I bought some actual Engelse drop and picked a suitable jar from my pantry. I modeled the jar and candies in Blender. By animating the jar to tip over and using the rigid body physics system I tried to achieve a natural and random placement of the candies. For the texturing process, I used mainly Substance Painter with some small edits in Photoshop. While creating textures for both the jar and the candies, I tried to aim for a high level of realism. Substance Painter allowed me to add intricate details and realistic surface properties to the models. After setting up the materials and lighting in Blender, I rendered the scene to showcase the realistic.
